Every weekend I head over to the hobby shop on base. It's a garage where you can work on you car. Lifts, tools, etc.... I hang out to help beginners with their cars and help out around the shop so when my car needs to be work on I don't pay any fees.
So last weekend I pull up and find brillantrot 318is sitting in a stall. Thought it was kinda cool and asked about the owner. Old lady that also owns a MB and hardly drives the e30. This puppy has only 57,000 miles on it. Paint has been cooked in the Vegas sun, engine is dirty, the dash and seats are cracked, and the bumpers are cracked. The shifter linkage is also shot also the brakes and master cylinder are on the downfall. This is a one owner car and purchased in Guam.
KBB
Condition Value
Excellent $3,465
Good $3,110
Fair $2,705
So I am thinking Fair valve but I would only like to offer the lady $1000 at the most. Am I wrong for this or should I offer more?
The value of my Vert is as follows
KBB
Condition Value
Excellent $3,310
Good $2,935
Fair $2,475
My plans would be to garage my Vert and drive the coupe. Restoring the Vert to greatness and make the coupe a DD.
How much money should I offer the older lady for her car? All the downfalls to this car make me want to offer $1000 dollars.
