i will take some pictures in a few days, i'm kinda busy right now.
How do i operate it? Well, it's all automatic.
The car normally starts on petrol (gasoline). when a water temperature reaches 40 °C (don't know how much F is that), LPG ECU cuts of the fuel injectors and opens the valve to let lpg gas go onto lpg injectors. it reads from car ECU when and for how long each lpg injector has to be open.
If i want to, i have a button in cockpit where i can select on what fuel i want to drive. one simple touch of a button and car runs on gasoline. again, one touch and it runs on lpg. All happens within a second.
I have a lpg reservoir instead of a spare tire, so it doesn't take up space in the trunk.
pics in a few days of everything.

So your lpg tank is rather small. What kind of mileage you got with gas or the european way how many kg/liter it does take per 100km.

tank iz 55 L.
my avg. cons. is around 12L/100km. usually, i make 300 km and then go for a refuel. just in case ;)
but since there is a lot of lpg stations in zagreb(city) and croatia, i don't have problems with low mileage. and there is always gasoline for backup :)

Tim! -> I have the same romano kit on the shelf... I was thinking about installing it, but it seems, that I will build up LPi installation based on VEMS and some injectors... First I need a pump that will give me 5 bars of constant pressure /required for the LPG to stay liquid/...

Here in Poland we have 1ltr of LPG for about 0.55 euro... But the gasoline is about 1,1 euro.

About tanks: I know a guy who transports friends who buys cars in Germany. He has 318is combined with 3 tanks...  He has two 80 liters tanks in the trunk and one 60ltr tank in the wheelspace. And of corse stock gasoline tank.

When he transports 4 other person, he is running on special springs at rear suspension...

But he can do 1500 km on the LPG till it ends... With the average of 140km/h speed :-)

560 km in 3 hours and 5 minutes completely legal!!!                  I love german highroads!!!

Is LPG the same gas which is used for example in gas grills?

Tim,
i can see from the pics you sent, you also have a MAF conversion. Can you tell more about it?

All this talk of LPG has me intrigued, especially after paying just on $1.80/L (AUD) this morning.....i'd be interested to know what sort of losses you guys are seeing in power. Obviously peak power isnt a big deal, but lower to mid range is what im interested in. Anyone have some back to back dyno graphs?

I might have to look into these kits further....And tim_s where did you get the space saver spare?

WOW that is high speed. I like your 318is, it is the same color as mine but I have a tan leather interior. Thats cool that you have the LPG conversion. The first time I saw anything like that was back in 1987 in Calgary, Alberta. In Canada. Who makes your Intake?

well, since the photos from my first post have gone, i will repost some of them...

this is my car 2 years ago

last year i have restored my mtech seats

got some 17'' rims with 205/40/17 tires and 2cm spacers, and also lowered the car with LowTec set of springs and shocks, 60/35

also, a week ago i got two front recaro seats and a m3 last seat. will post better pics in a few days. this is 3 days ago when i put on some creame and leather lotion on the seats to get them in better condition.  they are pretty worn out, but the leather and stiches still hold just fine :)

i hope you like it.

i still have doubts whether to go m42 turbo, or just sharpen it with cams etc, or simply put m50... that is coming this fall

Beautiful. Just beautiful. I am in Alaska right now and when I get back to Florida, in July, I am buying some new seats, a paint job and some tuning parts. I post some pics when I get a chance. Out.
