Hello everyone!:) Just joined, and I have my first E30...

It is a 1991 BMW 318i with a m42B18 and a 5 speed transmission with 4:10 gears in the rear-end. I have pulled the engine and purchased another M42 and a lot of turbo stuff... My first turbo project after falling in love with my first BMW(E30) and deciding she's not going anywhere( a keeper). I have owned Mustang 5.0's, an LS2 6 speed Z28, RX7's, Honda's, many street bikes, and a few others... I have some experience, but I surely do not know everything, and this current project is teaching me new things/ need to know information every day I work on it. Moderators, and administrator-->  I am very kind and eager to learn, offer any help I can, and post pics of everything I do...
Here she is when I first got her:

Tried to copy paste images but no luck? Anyway here is some more:

After some new shoes:

My Turbo Header:

My turbo:

God-Speed Super Inter-cooler 31"x12"x3" with 3" openings + 3" inter-cooler aluminum piping, along with many gauges and other stuff...

John, I believe that you can't post images just yet, there may be a post count limitation.

But posting links is acceptable as I you've already done.

Gotta get my posts up so I can share with y'all... In this project so far, I used what I could to get by... I built my own A-frame, with a electric 2000 pound winch for a truck, and I pulled the engine. I enjoy building and thinking outside of the box.

material scrapped for future use---this A frame needed

I have moved the project over to correct location, please be patient... I have many more pics of progress available, but I have to get my post count higher. If interested, please check under the turbo charging, engine swap, build thread area, and stay tuned.... Thank you.

Some of my other projects, all work done myself:

1997 Thunderbird LX, I swapped a 2002 Mustang GT P.I. engine into, with ignition, plenum, t.b., mild port and polish, 3:73 gears with trac loc,  and my first body work cutting the hood up and adding a cowl... One of my first big projects years ago.

A 1992 Chevy S10 4.3 v6
Taylor 8.5mm Spark plug wires, Iridium spark plugs,MSD distributor,MSD Box
Traction Bars
Lowered Suspension
Xplode Speakers
New Oil Pump
Jet Performance 6 pack chip with 6 settings
Underdrive Pulley kit
New Clutch

1995 Susuki GSX750F Katana
stock sprocket setting 15/45t
current 13/45t
K/N Air filter
Red L.E.D lights w/ switch
Spike Bolts w/ new tinted windshield

Its a 1987 Mazda RX7, with a B13 engine and a 5 spd transmission wich goes to LSD rear. I have painted the cars body, installed a electric cooling fan, CAI, welded on free flow mufflers, ported and polished the throttle body... It already had a Racing Beat/Race version Header exhaust with High Flow Cats and the Air Pump deleted.

No pictures, but I converted a 1986 Mustang GT(5.0) to the Cobra intake stuff and also geared it with 3:73's---> I travel the highway alot.:) Completely painted it glossy red and then sold it....

I've wanted experience with different vehicles, trying different ones on my own to just have knowledge... Some I miss, some others un spoken of---> sure don't. lol!

Anyway, glad to be here, and please be nice!!!!

EDIT: Sorry y'all about the pictures not showing.... they did when I first was posting, but as I see now---> nothing.

They are available on EBay for close to $400, and my turbo is a GT35 .68/.70 made for a V8... I may be over doing it or just looking to get the most in the long run...lol!

That should have a very strong top end rush I would think. I have a GT25. Im hoping for instant spool.

That header is real nice, but I am hoping I can do the whole build for that much :o So far im in about 150 with the turbo, intercooler, and piping. Still need a BOV, injectors, finish my header, and connect it to the rest of the exhaust, then tune it.

A friends quote on my local hot rod site:
"BTW, even though you'll have some lag, a low amount of boost on a big GT35R w/ proper tuning will make your ass pucker and put a permanent grin on your face . Trust me...:D"

hahaha! It makes me laugh everytime I read it.:D

Good luck on your build bro!!! I chose stainless due to the others getting heat wrapped combined with moisture and heat cause cracks---be careful what you choose... Sometimes you get what you pay for.;)
