There's nothing between the lip and the steel facia panel, other than the little plastic mount clips.  Post a link to the diagram...I'm curious about this...maybe a foam gasket was OEM?

The diagram I looked at wasn't totally accurate, seemed like the metal trim behind the bumper & under the headlights is available separately...maybe for rust repair?

Yeah, spam filter is a jerk about stuff sometimes.

The diagram shows both the sedan (shorter) and the coupe lip (the taller one).  Misleading diagram...they're not meant to be installed at the same time.

hey i was looking on e30 tech and they say you have to cut the volvo lip in the middle to get it to fit , is that the case?

No, just cut the ends. I am running one but I highly recommend that you use some zipties to pull the ends in so it is not flared out looking like it is out of place Mine is further in than what mu sig suggest bc I now have the zipties pulling it in, reducing flare but not eliminating it.

I actually took out the clips that hold on the stock lip. There is a little plastic piece in each that pushes out. I then lined up the lip drilled holes in the lip and used zipties on each hole and it is strong. I hit and scrap from my car being low and it is still attached I will get pics in the light

I used the thicker zips and it makes a difference.  If you need any more pics or if this doesn't help lmk and I will get more when I change the oil I could barely get under there lol.
