i was thinking about filling the plastic moulding that weather proofs the window with some of that silicone adhesive shit that comes in a cocking tube.
as for the sunroof it leaks in the back corner and then the water poors down by the passager window. is the like a drainage resivor or somthing for the water that leaks through or is it just suppose to seal it all out.

There should be four drains for the sunroof. One is blocked or disconnected - drop the roof panel & re-connect. Hopefully it's not rusted out.
I've sealed cars in the past...my e30 had a leak in the trunk that I sealed up that way.

Anytime. That's what I like to hear though, someone keepin' another one running! A plugged sunroof like that will rust the car from the top down...I've seen a lot of BMWs (especially e30s) with rusted out sunroof panels.

While you are looking for leaks, you might want to check out your elephant trunk drain which is located on the engine firewall on the passenger side. I was getting wet floorboards on the passenger side and the sunroof drains were fine. A bit of forum checking brought me to that drain. Both of my cars looked like this:
And now it's dry as a bone in the pax compartment. Happy days
