Can changing from regular oil to synthetic cause a oil leak? ive been hearing this and i want to know if its true or not?

synthetic oil is thinner and can leak through bad seal, crack ects. the only way to stop the leak is fix what ever seal, gasket ect is bad.

I changed mine to synthetic and it kept on leaking.  This motor is about the sloppiest one I've ever owned, and that's saying something.

I'm thinking about switching to RLI biodegradable lubricants next time, so at least I won't be poisoning the world with my lubricants.

They're right, new seals are the best bet.  Or, more economically, just put some cardboard under the car.  Think of it as a built-in rust prevention system.

where is the front and rear crank seal located at? is it hard to replace?
