Trigger contact is a really bad description at RealOEM. It's also known as a CMP, cam position sensor or cam reference sensor depending on who you ask.

I actually was looking at the wrong diagram. I think I'm leaking oil from number 11. Where the clip connects into the engine.

That's your crank position sensor and it doesn't enter the motor. So you can't be leaking oil from there... if that is the CPS.

Mine leaks from that vicinity too. I'm pretty sure it's leaking from #3, the large timing plate gasket. I've replaced all the easier stuff like the oil sender washer & dipstick o-rings, but the leak is still there. It seems to ooze out the driver's side and then down onto the oil pan flange, finally dripping off the drain plug.

I'm just putting it off until I decide to do the whole timing chain case rebuild. It'll need that sooner or later.

When I had my balancer off, I had to polish the shaft as the Crankshaft seal had worn a slight groove in it. I bet that is where your leak is.

Just swap out my entire suspension. Took front subframe out to replace with 2.7 rack and went ahead and replaced upper and lower oil pan gaskets. No more leak :-D
