I usually run on 95. I've currently got 100 and it's got quite a kick. :D

93 only use 91+ and higher than that doesn't help b/c your car isn't tuned for it.  It will actually not have quite as much power if the octane is too high.

FYI Unless you've got a chip that knows how to advance timing enough to use 100 octane (which requires knock sensors), then it's just a waste of your money. Placebo effect.

Higher octane only means resistance to detonation (knock) or autoignition due to heat, pressures, etc, which on our motors are a very good thing, its never going to give you more in the way of performance though.

91 when the prices were high, 94 when I could afford it. I also gased up at Petro Canada here in Quebec.

The fucked up part about it is that octane raiting very from stat to state and country to country. Japan has MUCH 'better' gas than we have here. I guess thats why its the equivilant $6.50 a liter! Can you imagine having to fill up your GTR!?

I do have a suited chip and i've got the '94 E36 M42 engine. :rolleyes:
