Also agree with the guibo and center carrier bearing.
Buy exhaust header to front pipe bolts and gasket.
If the trans leaks do the rear seal and shifter seal.
If there is oil from the rear main seal do it.
I have found the best way to reinstall the trans is to get 2 or 3 studs and put them in back of the block. Let them support the weight - LOL they don't know any better. Those and a clutch alignment tool make it easy.
Obviously what folks are saying is there's no better time to do that other stuff while the trans is out. I learned the hard way by needing a throw out bearing and just replacing it. Then, a year later, I got an opportunity to take all that stuff out again.
I have access to a lift and a complete fab shop from my racing days. I use it when I need to get back on the road quick. Still, sometimes I just jack it up in the driveway and use carpet remnants to lay on. Then you can pause, look up at the sky, win races, fantasize about whatever .......
