« on: April 25, 2010, 07:54:04 AM »
hi

I have a problem
My engine runs cold 750 rpm idle and 1000 rpm when it is hot.
and if he is cold he misses power and when he turns warmer it better

maybe someone knows what the problem might be.
engine runs smoothly

My car idles lower when its cold and then usually a little higher when its hot.  As far as I'm concerned, it seems normal. :D

since your car works fine, but just has some small kinks, before you bother tearing stuff apart & buying new parts.. why not do the easy thing and get

-seafoam
and afterwards
-lubro moly fuel injector cleaner
that's like $17 total and doesn't require any labor

bad idle = good chance its dirty injectors
but that doesn't explain change under weather
clogged cat? (which works better when warm). seafoam cleans your cat
ofcourse you probably dont have a cat in the netherlands but it helps with throttle response

also low battery = bad idle. and cold is bad for batteries. sometimes in neutral you have to keep it up with accelerator or it will stall.

you're probably not some idiot with a bad battery but seriously if you make a lot of short trips, it will get low on juice and give you shit idle

theres always coil on plug kit! http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9122&highlight=coil+on+plug coil on plug solves everything

mustang in america, some vaxuall in europe
or just buy brand new from bosch. i think those are the options.
everyone says how awesome 4 pintle injectors are but i have yet to try them.
just read that thread, its only 10 pages

i replaced the injectors with ones from a s38.
it drives a little bit smoother but i did not solve the problem but when i replaced the injectors i have noticed that the injectors where going in the inlet manifold to easy and it make a sound if it  is leaking by the injectors in the manifold so i will go and get new seals and hope the problem will be solved.

i made a movie of the motor running
