so I parked my car for a couple days. It drove fine right before I parked. Now car cranks but wont start. I checked spark plugs they were wet, smelled gas. So I took them out. and dried them. Changed out Fuel pressure relay. Added some gas to tank since it was in the red zone. Got 1444 stomp test. Still no luck. Heres a vid. Any more ideas?

Alt is <1yr old.
Batt charged at 12v. I recently recharged it.

I am in the exact boat as you!!! Anyone have any ideas? I checked the crank position sensor, cam position sensor, 3 DME swaps and still no spark!!! WTF

I had the same problem, but it was the crank pos sensor. I was getting no fuel.

I'd verify that you're getting enough fuel, though it sounds like you are. Did you test for spark? The coils should have 12v when the ignition is on.

Puentes: are you getting a check engine light? Do the stomp test and tell me what you find, might not be the same problem. If you're not getting a CEL, might be that you have no power to the ECU.

Ah, I recently swapped the TPS, ICV. Stupid question but how do you check the coils? just stick the voltmeter prob where theres metal on the ignition coil?

Another thing I found was cylinder 3's spark plug was completely soaked in oil, up where it plugged into the wire.!? bad gasket? Too dark for me to see anything right now.

take out all your plugs and test if you actually don't have spark. just take all of em out, and then put a wire on a spark plug and ground the plug on the engine. place it somewhere you can see the spark when you're cranking the engine. Also, check your engine ground strap. it's on the right engine mount.

Why did you swap the TPS & ICV? Were they failing?

Your valve cover gaskets are leaking into the spark plug holes. It's no big deal to replace the valve cover gasket.

TPS/ICV were replaced when I had a prior no start issue. That time it turned out to be bad ignition coil which was replaced.

Ok I'll check valve cover gasket tomm morn. Its relatively new also <3 years old. but I'll check and see.

Also I'll check the spark from the wires too.

Car has been such a pain since I dont drive it that often at the moment and its parked out in the cold:(

cool thanks. My wires are <3 months old. But I did noticed the 3 cylinder wire barely clicks onto the spark plug? maybe as something to do with the oil in there. I'll check spark and wires tomm.

you think the battery could still be the prob? I recharged it and its holding 12 v. Think any damage to the battery from charging with a "plug in" charger? Like with the currents it puts out?

Maybe have a battery load test done as well. Make sure you find a shop with a competent tech, last Advance Auto I was at totally mis-diagnosed the battery. 12v only tells you that there aren't any shorted cells. A load test will tell you more, and they're free at most auto & battery stores.

thanks guys. Got it started today after cranking it for 2 min and giving a little gas. Mustve been moisture collection.
