BMW part # 41 51 1 922 737

Has anyone installed this kit? My drivers door doesn't set like it should on the vert.

Any incite is appreciated.

It would be great if that could be copied and sticky-ed here. My doors are starting to have that old car sound to them. My gas filler flap is the worst, wonder if there is a similar fix for that?

I don't really see a need to sticky this, there are links to DIY's here:

You may post the link there if you wish.

I done it for the passenger side, its a pretty straight forward process.  Hammering the broken spindle or pin (whatever you like to call it) was my major problem, but I just got a really long screw driver from some hardware store and hammered away.

Just remember to examine how the parts are installed before taking it apart; last thing you want is to install everything in the wrong order (unlikely).

As far as adjusting your door, I had a friend along side to assist me through the process  (he lifts the door at increments while i tighten the hinges).

I was planning on doing this too.  Has anyone found it cheaper than $9.66?  I'm going to try holding the door up with a jack & doing them one at a time if there's enough room.  That way I won't need to re-align it.

I just did it on the passenger side, very simple.  The new hinge is a little stiff, so it takes some coaxing to get the pin out, but not bad.
