OMFG!!! I still see spots! :eek: Why didn't anyone tell me about how great these are?!? They're awesome! So much better than the stock sealed beams & noticeably better than my US ellipsoids!

I don't feel safe riding around with these until I aim them a bit better. Don't want to blind any fellow motorists with their girly headlights.
I'll post some pics later...

Nah, no pics yet. My phone keeps blurring them. Very nice pattern though. Maybe "__/ __/" will be my new sig?

Not all good news tonight however...I noticed quite a bit more oil on the floor (than usual). I suspect she'll be parked until I can get a new front crank seal in there. I've been putting that off for six months.

I was tempted by this deal...anyone bought Apexcone from DDM?

I know...they're ricer garbage :p ...but $64 for H4 bi-xenons delivered? With a lifetime warranty? How can they do that? Who's undercutting the Chinese? The basic kit is only $30. Besides, I was a ricer for years before re-discovering BMWs...maybe I heal my split personality together a little. :cool:

I had the H4's til I got my euro ellips (Bosch non-smiley)....I hate to say it, the H4's seemed a lot brighter (on low beam) then my euros although I am not sure what h1 bulbs are in mine now... they sorta have a blue tint...Wouldn't have replaced the H4's if it wasn't for a rock...
And I hear the Apexcone are not as good (quality wise) as the DDM slim ballast HID's...I think there are some writups over at r3v on them...I am planning to go with slims eventually in my ellip's with either the 4500k or 5000k...I do not want the "blue" ricer look either...Just some pure white blinding light....lol

And are you sure it is a crank seal leak? That is about the only place my M42 hasn't leaked oil...lol The last oil leak I just fixed was coming out of the oil pressure sender....Not from around it, but straight through it....Never would think an electrical connector could leak oil...

I have the US elipsode smileys and just put in a 5000k hid kit super bright way better then just plain h1 bulbs.

35w or 55w ballasts?

Pretty sure they are 35w. I got them off eBay xentec is the brand, the ballasts, bulbs everything included is like 100$ shipped with 1 year warrenty. So even if they crap out after a year or 2 still better then paying 350$ and up for the same thing.

I have apexcone 35w 5000k fogs and 55w 6000k H4s. The quality seems to be very good, and they are insanely cheap...
