never posted here before, but i need to talk about my frustration:D

I have build turbo engine m42

td-05 turbo(lance evolution)
custom header
forge intercooler

engine block honed 85 mm
mitsubischi evo pistons 85mm
MLS head gasket
head flowed
stock cams, overlap turned away
ARP head bolts
ARP conrod bolts
M50b25 135mm conrods
New bearings
new gaskets
crankshaft balanced
flywheel lightened and balanced

Engine was running fine until i had wrong made pistons, now i have evo 9 pistons. so 1 have had the head off 1 time.

yesterday on dyno i had 270 HP on 1 bar boost, pretty good, but on 2nd run the pressure came out of carter ventilation.

the car still standing there i dont know what to do. Pull the fuckin head and pistons AGAIN:mad:???

one time during break in, i had broken coolant hose, so engine was hot. After the fix temparature was fine, ONLY when i pulled the oil cap there was already a lot of pressure. But didnt rise when on throttle!!

during Dyno there was no detonation or what so ever. Ignition advance was very weak, not tuned yet!

What will be wrong? only piston rings? or pistons? Cilinders

I dont want to trow in a lot of money. Next year i go to college again.

i am a little frustrated so if i am not very clear i'm sorry. Give me your opinions, i need them:o

Ithink that is normal, some of the pressure willl jsut come around the pistons into the carter, you need an oil catch tank, and some breather, where did you conect the breather hose, befor or after the turbo, on the intake?

no not normal, i lost power on last run, and breather on oil catch tank was smoking a lot.

on 900 rpm with vacuum i shouldt have none or little pressure with oil cap removed

i have no breather hose, just oil catch tank with filter direct on valvecover

I think problems with pistons or rings. Are pistons stock evo9 or modified? Do a leak check. If it is a broken ring you can damage cylinder wall if you run engine with this problem.

the piston was melted, so i replaced it

but when it was finished and engine running again, no luck.

pistonpin in engine wall, so i can throw engine block away.

work is in progress i'll be back with more pressure and new block.

last succesfull run:

GOOD news, turbo setup went into an e21 with an m42 motor with stock compression and ARP bolts and MLS gasket. running 0,6 bar boost

i went to the dyno. 236 HP and 290 Nm torgue! how much fun is that! AFR are good now, and delayed the ignition a little.

as you can see, the chrome bumper is back, and it is standing on some steel 13 inch wheels. i also recieved my new front shock aborbers.
