Hello everyone!

I live in Bangkok, Thailand. I am also a member of bimmerforums.com. I just realized that there is a different in m42club.com to other web boards which I never thought. I pretty much adore member profiles forum that we, members, can introduce our selves systematically way which I’ve never found anywhere. This let’s us know each other in an easy way and feel frankly together. I do apology for not doing my introduce at my very first moment of joining here.

Unlike US model, all euro 318i e36s came with m40 and m43 motors, the mediocre, 2 valves/cylinder. The M42 motor exists on 318is, sedan & coupe, only. You guys in US just don’t know how lucky you are though. (On e30 model, I have no idea.)  My ride is a used 318i came with a swap m42 motor as is condition. Actually, I bought it just because of its tag, the “9000.” I don’t think I can afford anything like kinda exclusive expensive numbers again for the rest of my life. lol   I couldn’t find any much informative article from Thai bimmers website for my car maintenance and performance. Whereas, of course, there are the showoff things sorta that just the pics w/ useless words.

I got my MBA form San Diego, CA in 1991 and miss In & Out and La Jolla Beach. :p

And here is my ride http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3368824

Cheers,
George

We don't use the stock ECU.  We're running a custom Tec3R ECU from Vic Sias that features a MAP sensor.

This is awesome. Do you have some pic of it, Tec3R? What else you use for fine tune, ie, O2 wideband?

Again, thanx a lot,
George

ps. do you actually spent over $3K for it ?

Oh, that's a piece from Jon at 666 Fabrication.

http://www.666fabrication.com/

http://www.666fab.com/M42tubular.html This is exactly what I am asking for. ;)

Sadly, I don't think it gonna work with A/C street use in my tropical zone country + It gonna get stuck with my right-hand steering column though :(

I can produce additional intakes.  They're $800 in aluminum and $1,000 USD in powdercoat including the runners (there is a core charge for the runners).  Depending on your displacement, I'd recommend a GT2860 or GT3071 Garrett turbo.

It will come with a blank throttle body flange (drill it to your match your throttle body) and I can customize the bosses/fittings for MAP, brake booster, air temp, and IAC if you would like.

No Rob, I mean the exhaust one that i'm interesting though.

Hi George,

The tooling for the hoses and the hoses them selves are produced by SFS performance here in the UK (http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk) and is very costly. The coolant hose kit including the one you've pointed out where modeled from the OE BMW ones and yes, the lower hose arrowed is larger at the radiator end and then strinks down to fit the engine.

Rich

This is it. I havn't seen anywhere else made it, silicone one, before. Most I've seen gotta use a reducer. So, I'd rather go grab it soon.

Thanx Rich ;)

Pretty amaze all ya jobs done so far, hope you can put the SC duct into the intake manifold in good shape as well.

By the way you said you made those coolant hoses  Do you mean you just bought a straight hose and bent it into that form, don’t you?
Quote from: visionracingdevelopments;70015

Just a pic of the SFS coolant hoses that I had made:

Furthermore; on the one that I put the blue arrow marked on. What is its diameter? Does it a reduce size on the another end? Cause this one on mine seems to be larger on the radiator end.

Cheers,

George:cool:

buy the M47 crank, put side by side and compare the difference then you'll definitely know what's the difference..
..
