how does ur turbo behave/preventative maintenance for turbo

finnally got my last part for the turbo im having the shop install it next wednesday. how does it change the cars nature/ what should i do to keep everything in good shape what should be regularly checked after the install anything else u guys think is usefull to know post turbo
