1991 318ic Vert Map Mirror conversion/upgrade

Now that I've accedently unlodged my Vert's rear view mirror from the glass, I figure it's time to install the E30 Map light mirror I have siting in the garage.

I recall seeing a DIY to convert the normal rearview mirror on a 318ic to a E30 Map light mirror.  Searching various forums, I can no longer find it.  Anyone have a conversion DIY for a Vert handy?
