He has access to free school printing, refer to his previous post.

Ahh ok, well easiest way is to just print out the images with a catalog.

Just found this. Thanks for the file. :)

I didn't want to buy the Bentley since it is only up to '90 and wasn't sure if it actually covered the M42 motors in detail or not.

It doesn't cover the m42, however it's useful in every other aspect.

Is there a link to this type of manual for the E36 or at least the M42 engine?

I'm looking at having to pull the head on my 91 this weekend and I need to get something in the way of a manual before then.  Any help is appreciated.  Anybody local have a Bentley I could scan into .pdf and get posted up?

I revisited this - the repair manual -and find a lot of M42 stuff.
Click "Engine   11" on main group page.
Select M42 on next page.
Go back to top and click "Constr. Group"
Select "Engine - disassemble and assemble" or a specific group.
Click arrows at top to page through.
I had never really looked at this before. There's also "Torque Values" and "Technical data". Clearances, settings and all kinds of stuff are in there.

The ee1394 link works fine, loads right up for me, even at work.
