Exhaust Manifold
« on: August 19, 2009, 12:41:55 AM »
Has anyone had much experience with the aftermarket exhaust manifolds sold on flebay? been looking at them, as mine has a leak in it :(, but most of them are for LHD only. wat is the difference?

cheers,
Jester

i was about to buy one for my RHD and i was told by the seller that you had to bend one of the pipes about half an inch... i thought that defeated to purpose of getting good extractors lol im bout to get a custom set made for bout $400 in stainless

"M42 Jester", how difficult is it finding an exhaust manifold for M42/M44 engines in Australia?

No one seems to have them. BMW Melbourne wants $2000 ex Germany. (WTF)

But I just found a company called HiTech Headers in Sunshine, Victoria (West of Melbourne) that sell a replacement exhaust manifold. It is not a mandrel bent header but simply just a stock manifold. I think it is going for about $400. I'll check it out this weekend. Website if your interested http://www.hitechheaders.com.au

i been to uk fleabay, us fleabay, aussie fleabay, they all have the same stuff. Australia doesn't have anything less than 6cyl headers, and they're all at least $1000. and the uk fleabay has them, but they all say for LHD only. same with the US. could go to the German fleabay, but they're expensize. guess you have to spend the money to get the goods :(

Just Wondering, can an e36m42 RHD exhaust manifold fit into an e30 (RHD) having m42 engine (swapped from an e36m42 from 1995)
