I cant make up my mind, and I have to get this FW to a machine shop to at least get turned pretty soon.

As far as using the spacer from the m42 flywheel to clear the block, how thick is it? I wanted to shave off the back of the flywheel to avoid using the spacer and to get some weight reduction, but at the same time doesnt using the spacer allow that much more disengagement since you are moving the flywheel 2-5 mm's closer to the TOB?

Id like to shave it off, but I dont want to risk having a slipping clutch because most people run it with the spacer.

If I can get a thickness of the m42 flywheel spacer used for this, then I think I can shim up my pivot ball with mm washers to help out if I have to.

Yeah, Im gonna use the spacer. Im having the whole backside of the M20 flywheel shaved off, but Im going to use the spacer anyways. I had the machine shop take 3mm off the front of the flywheel, and Im using the spacer to make up for that 3mm.

The flywheel will be done later this week, and then this weekend its out with my 250k M42, and in with an 80K replacement. Along with the M20 flywheel/clutch combo.
