It doesn't, because it is a dual mass...There isn't really much of anything to take off. IIRC only single mass flywheels can be shaved down.

Speaking of which, I think you can use the M40 single mass stuff for an easy swap too.

But all non-AC cars have single mass flywheels, right?  If that's the case, then I would opt for the machine shop.  Alternatively, the Metric Mechanics Single Mass Flywheel is only $350 +core.  Which isn't half bad.

Most probably d, for good reason.

Dual mass flywheels suck up TONS of vibration and noise...move to a single mass and you get alot more noise. Especially if the A/C is on.

I have the UUC 11.5# flywheel and love it. It chatters alot when the A/C is on and a tiny bit when it is off, but I don't care. Engine revs so smooth.

Do this UUC 11.5 flywheel have the TDC-hole?
Have you take 0-100kmh time with your lightweight flywheel?
Im thinking to buy that flywheel-clutch combo on understeer.com but they dont answer to my email:(

Where the company are located? Usa?

Same thing, but I have this setup and it's nice.  Clutchmasters rebuilt the stock kit for me and beefed it up.  A machine shop can cut a bunch of weight off there too.  Stock for stock the M40 setup is only like 5 pounds lighter.  Mine is now 26 pounds with the clutch and flywheel together.
