ideas for recreating floor pan drain?
« on: July 17, 2009, 09:00:51 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has ideas for recreating a floor plan drain?  The drain was rusted and fell off.  I'm going to be addressing rust and holes already in the pan.  Should I recreate the drain or just fill it in with new metal?

Do you mean that little plug in the driver's floor above the subframe mount?  It's not a drain, just a plastic/metal plug.  I'd go with new metal and find the leak up in the plenum or windshield seal.

Yes, the plug in the driver's floor.  2 3/8 inch diameter opening.  No leak, just doing some repairs.
