Perfect timing - I've been hunting for new wires. Before finalizing purchase, I'm curious what the feedback is regarding living in a dusty area.  For instance, I parked my car and didn't move it for about 6 months and there was still a good layer of dust in the engine bay...

Someone before asked a question that unfortuntely wasn't answered (well, I didn't see one, at least) - is there a way to put the stock plastic 'cap' that says "BMW" on it (or something similar) back on to sort of enclose it?  Or am I just being paranoid unnecessariliy?  Thank you!

The plastic BMW cover doesn't fit with the kit installed.

The race car never experienced any issues due to dust.  Keep in mind we had a few "off's" at some very dusty tracks.  It's like Days of Thunder at Buttonwillow if you or someone in front of you goes off the track.  No dust related issues.

Is there interest in the wiring diagram for an M44 or M42 with the round coil pack connector?  We're working on documenting it if there is interest.  That would allow you to make up your own harness.

I'm not familiar with the round connector.  What would be the reason for making up a harness and, I guess, using a different coil?

I would imagine the round plug referred to is the connector for the ganged E36 (very late M42 & M44) coil pack set. The harness would of course need to accept that coupler (or just get spliced) and go to four individual connectors for the coils.

Unrelated to COP - I would love a way to adapt that ganged coil pack to the individual connectors on the M42. The only justification for this is the ready availability of those coil packs and the paucity of individual coils in the junkyards near me (and probably most everyone else).
