pull on them.
There really stuck on there,  the seals fit super snug.
I actually had to use a pry bar then they pop off.

I put a little wd40 around the seals to loosen things up.  I let it sit for about 10 minutes, then I pulled with all my might.  Once one side came out, the rest was easy.

Thanks again guys!

I let wd-40 soak in as suggested above.  Then I used an 16 mm open wrench as a lever under each fuel injector.  I used the lower intake manifold as my fulcrum and lightly tapped on the other end of the wrench to pop up each injector.  Worked well.

Question about fuel rail

Alright serious question here. no more dumbrarse questions from working on the car in the dark
on the lower intake manifold, in the fuel ports, 1mm above the injector's lower o-ring, there is round engraving like its meant for a washer, like the paper washer for the radiator temperature switch. is that supposed to be void of anything? although the most probable cause of a fuel leak seems to be those cheap black clips for the top o-ring.

i haven't reinstalled my fuel rail yet, but if I remember correctly when I removed it, those cutouts are where the fuel injector electrical connector extends towards the black plastic rectangle that contains the wiring.  Mine are void of anything.  I'm not sure of the purpose of the cutout, but it may allow air to circulate between the fuel injector and the lower manifold.

Is it a dumbarse question to ask why you don't buy a light if you work on your car after dark?
