The TPS specs in the E36 bentley call for 1 pin 5 VDC , 1&3 pin 4k ohms approx and 1&2 1-4k ohms approx.
Flipping the picture 360 putting #1 on top. e30" vs. e36. My tests found 4.98 VDC on 2 pin vs. pin 1 in the harness. 1 and 3 pin 1.845k ohms.
1&2 sweep 579-489WO ohms
1&3 sweep 1.845k-5.4kWO ohms
2&3 sweep 1.464k-5.45kWO ohms
Looking at a schematic from alldata shows TPS 2 pin feed from 12 pin on ecu. Feed from AFM 59 pin to ecu 59 pin and TPS 1 pin then TPS 3 pin to TCS and ecu 43 pin.
It appears the alldata schematic corrisponds with my tests vs. the e36 Bent.
Can anyone confirm or deny these finding. If the TPS are identical, which they are, why would the 5 vdc signal be on the 2 pin. I'm not so sure. Just want to get my car back on the road and its being an extremely difficult to find the culprit.
