Well be sure to look through the Coil-on-Plug threads.  Myself and a small number of others have done it, and I will be making more brackets very soon.

Here are the 5 pages of my two attempts.  The first 3 are my unsuccessful try at using the stockers, but they are just too big.

Here's the final revision of the holding bracket...well, final for now in that it fits perfectly.  Powder-coated black would look nice, I just do not have the facilities to do it myself.

Haha alrighty to keep things on the topic of fabrication skills & the like:

Anyone found a good way to do powdercoating 'at home?'  Can a conventional oven get hot enough to fuse the particles?

I can bend cardboard really well. I can duplicate the airbox above for fraction of the cost and time.

I wouldn't call stuff I do fabrication "skills" but rather fabrication "knowledge". To me, it can only be called a skill if you do it full time or as part of your job, or if you're really good at it.

I know a lot of people with welders that think they can weld. That is true to a certain extent but not everyone's a decent welder.

Yes it will just need longer if your oven can´t even do the required temps
I have all the stuff at home but haven´t used it really, just to test on a pipe, wich worked well but should have had more temp and stayed in a little longer :)

I feel comfortable in a wood or metal shop, but hardly have high-end skills.  I do have photo skills to shoot the stuff you guys make :rolleyes:   Just send your projects my way!

I liked the shutter/shudder relationship when it came to my E30!  But I am a pro-photographer, so for you fabricators, I really will photograph your new products you plan to sell!  We'll just work out the return shipping....
