What mod's do you have done to the valve train that will play 7500Rpm ??

around 6900 rpm on stock internals(m42) the valves begin to float... Unless you have upgrades it's asking for surious trouble

i ve done nothing but somehow my engine rev limiter is 7000 rpm ( i dont know why)but i havent faced any trouble (thank god till know)
i have seen ludiagsm reving his engine up to 8500 with a rebuilt bottom end but a completely stock head ...
plus mark d chip claims it increases the rev limiter to 7100 ...
i also had to get into a megasquited m42 while tuning it on the streets and they set the rev limiter to 7200 and they hit it alot !!
not sure about the 7500 but i m whiling to take my chances :D

Any chance of making these so you can run the MAF from the later models? I dont want to run boost through a AFM.

I have access to a dyno and a great tuner for both N/A and boost, maybe we can work together to make some really solid tune's.

There is a difference at dme pin though. It is not the pin# 66, 413 dme, like indicated in that link.

For e36 m42 dme m1.7 is a pin# 81 which might not the same pin on e30 m42 dme

Here a snap from bentley though.

Just came across though. I think it might work cutting the green wire under dash. My car does not have an ews module. But I am 100% possitive if cut the wire at pin 81 on the dme. I'd been through this on my swap dme if you want some pics on that I'll making a post later on :)
