Langoo's 318IS e30 - Sweden
« on: June 11, 2009, 04:57:47 AM »
Hello everyone!

I've been hanging around on the forum for a while now but never intruduced myself. My name is Robin and I'm from Halmstad on the westcoast of Sweden :)

My car is a 1990 BMW 318IS which I have taken care of the last half year. My aim with the car have been to make it a refurbished original with some extra grunt ^^

Engine:

Original M42 engine
Painted and cleaned enginebay
Big conefilter with selfmade bracket
Supersprint exhaust
Alu-strutbar

Body:

Repainted and rust-free trunk
M-tech 2 wing
IS front lip
Xenon headlights

Interior:

Momo Mocca steeringwheel
Kenwood stereo
Original sportseats

Future upgrades:

Aftermarket chip to get some more revs
Lowering springs

Anyone from Europe who have bought a chip from Pro-racing?

Please give me som credit and thoughts about the car :)

Hahha :) is big turbo cars the synonymous with Sweden around the world? :P I've had a BMW 320 e30 with a turbo earlier in my days but got tired of forced induction after a while so got more and more in to NA power and revs :)

I hope my english is understandable :P

Thanks for the comments!

Your English is fine :)

I love the checkered fabric interior, and the rest of the car is so clean. It looks great.

Yup the engine bay turned out to be fantastic like you say. I used a paint called Auto-K "enginepaint" which I bought at my closest spareparts-dealer. The paint is resistance up to 200 degrees celcius and is mat-black. The intake was also painted with that paint but silver of course. The lines on the cover did i make silver by grinding of the black paint with a sandpaper.

I've got a god picture what 5 hours work makes with a engine bay ;)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried today to paint the grill black instead of chrome like I have seen on many e30's here on the forum but i don't know if i think it's better och worse yet. I also have been doing some brakejobs with painting and refurbishing the brake calipers.

Some pics:

First off...nice car!

I don't have any experience buying from "Pro-Racing", but if your eprom number is 1.267.356.214 I can recommend an Ebay vendor named "sapporo10" http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/sapporo10/  who sells a euro version chip for our cars. I paid about $50 USD and am happy with the results.
