"Fogged airbox" mod on an M42 e30?
« on: June 01, 2009, 09:03:10 PM »
Does the Fogged airbox mod work on M42 e30s? Who has done it and what were the results? What tweaks are needed to do it on an e30? Thanks

i've done the highbeam'ed airbox... and there IS a noticible difference in throttle response. (100% old stock 318i...) takes a little speed (like 40-45 mph) to actually feel it.

I was considering fitting an M3 radiator and use the Alpha-N airbox funnel (left below on pic) with modification. It sucks the air right in were our fluid reservoir sits. It would require some modding with an M3 reservoir and some hoses but it might work.
Anyone any thoughts?

Yes. Add 22# injectors, clean out your intake and chip.
