I have been jamming on my turbo project for about a month and am getting to the home stretch here and well dont want to f it up in the end.
So here are the questions.
1) Trying to devise a clever way to get the ICV back into the intank track. When I removed the valve cover breather to a catch can normally just block off the lower port on the throttle body. Well I noticed with it all apart that this port goes both in front of and behind the throttle plates.(lower pressure downstream to suck the nasty gases i presume) Can I plug in my idle control valve to this port, maybe plug weld the hole after the throttle plates. This should get the air in like before. Oh yeah I have a nice silicon boot which is why I cant just plug into the elbow like before. Could just delete I am sure but I do have a type A personality which will not allow it.
2) Looking for clean input signal for the map sensor. Just screwing around I took my now defunt throttle heater plate and drilled and tapped some holes and plugged into my boost/vacuum gauge. It seems to work ok steady state but I am concerned about turbulent flow being just after the throttle. I am tempted to just drill and tap the upper manifold and be done with it but if there is a better way I am up for it.
Thanks guys. Great forum and support from you on here (whether you knew it or not).
Will post up some pics and my setup in my profile.
