E36 turbo kit on ebay

I find it odd it was able to run on the stock FP, injectors, and ECU. Even if it was chipped Id think it was running lean, he doesnt specify any boost numbers, but still. Am I wrong to think that?

EDIT: Seller emailed me that he was running 10psi on stock fuel system and map! HAHAHA Id love to see that. Thats a good way to rip somebody off. Its idiots like this that cant be trusted. Some 16 year olds gonna be like "damn, $300 and I can run 10psi on it safely like this guy and be around 200HP and I can street race, sweet!" Then theyll post wondering why thier car is making noise and they are getting knock sensor codes. lol

So do I.

Honestly, what are you getting in that "kit"? A ebay turbo manifold, a junkyard intercooler, some aluminized steel bends, some worn out couplers, chinese t3, and maybe some fuel hose. You are not wrong to think that it would run lean, even though guys say that the ecu will compensate up to around 5psi. It may give you 150 to the wheels, but I wouldn't waste my time buying that rats nest.

+1 on the junkyard intercooler. Id hate to see someone buy this and blow their engine because the guy is stating its "all you need". A boost controller in the wrong hands, or a nasty boost spike/or creep and itll be ugly. Ive been looking at ebay manifolds for the E36 lately and all I see are the OBX ones. Is the manifold in this listing a popular style on ebay?

Oh, I don't really know for sure, just speculating. I'm sure it would work fine and if it did decide to crack it looks like it would be easy to reweld. But for what you can get an obx manifold on ebay you can get a neukin for not a whole lot more. Neukin's run like 645 bucks, and you probably get what you pay for.

This guy selling the kit just emailed me, I asked how much boost he was running stock and he said 10psi. Yeah fucking right. He probably blew his engine and is parting out the car.

you can push 10psi on stock internals. thats really pushing it, i wouldn't personally go past 8psi.

the fp i think would be alright? as for stock ecu mapping, probably not.
