water pump....please help!!

im trying to take the water pump off my m42. i cant figure out out how to take the fan clutch off, or if i even need to do so. i've got all the blolts that hold the pump on itself but i cant get the allen bolt out, because the pully doesnt move far enough forward bofor it touches the fan clutch so i cant get the whole bolt out. so i need to get the fan clutch off so i can slide the pully off the pump shaft. Whats the proccess to taking the water pump out?. how do i get the fan clutch off?
any help would be much appreciated

there are 4 allen heads that hold the fan it's self on, you can take those out quite easily.

for the fan clutch its self, its threaded backwards (to prevent loosening from the rotational direction of the motor), so take a big wrench and smack it to the right to remove the clutch it's self.

ive got the fan off, so smack it to the right? lol and i can do this without worry of potentially breaking off one of the little fins lining the rim of the clutch?

All removing the fan clutch does it give you some more room. But how to remove it is as follows:

Grab a big adjustable wrench or 32mm or whatever the hell it is, its big. Now, when sitting in the car, aka transmission side, the nut turns to the left, which means when standing besides/infront, the nut has to be turned to the right to be loosened. Mine wasn't very hard to remove, but I have pythons.

The water pump will likely give you much more of a headache than the fan clutch. They like to get seized on and break into pieces while being beat out with a hammer. Good luck in that regard; like anything, it's a matter of doing it, so just do it.

i got it off thank you guys so much. but the water pump does seem to be more of the problem. it doesnt want to come out. its loose and it wiggles but it wont come out. is there a certain way i need to pull it out?

treat it like an adopted child and beat on it.  it'll eventually come out, I ended up having to take my radiator out and using a damn puller.  but it eventually came out.

where do i get a pulley remover? is it a certain kind of pulley remover?

There is two holes on the water pump one up and one down.You need two m8 bolts that you are going to use as puller!!
