Anyone use an electric fan?

Cars love to overheat on me. I think i'm cursed. Anyways it hasnt happened yet with my M42, but i dont want it to. I'm supercharging it in a little while and was wondering if getting an electirc fan instead of the big normal one would be wise. it would save space i need for piping as well. anyone had any experience with these? and would you place it flush with the radiator or not?

p.s. this is for an e30.
