Intake air temperature sensor
« on: February 15, 2009, 11:37:16 PM »
I searched and looked through what i could, but didnt find much

I pulled this code today, and not really 100% sure what it might be. Any help, links, info would be appriciated.

i understand it sounds pretty stright forward. i wanted to know if the sensors usually go bad, get dirty, something else affecting it.

thanks

This sensor is located/integrated into the air flow meter (between the airbox & throttle body). If the sensor is faulty you need to replace the the AFM.

It basically measures the air temperature coming into the AFM. It helps the AFM determine the density of the air and therefore the volume of air passing through.

You can check pins 4 and 5 with a multimeter to test resistance. Not sure on the specs but I remember mine being around 600-800 or so.
