DONE!

I gotta say fellas, this kit is definitely worth every cent. Everything just goes together so well and all the parts are high quality craftsmanship!

The car drives phenomenally. At about 3200rpm, you start to hear the S/C whine, and by 3500 and all the way to redline the thing screams!

NOTE: the AFM plug had not been spliced and lengthened as of these pictures yet.

Have a video, but the point-and-shoot camera is crap and the video therefore, sucks. Will have to get some better video another time.

looking great.
im in the middle of putting everything together in my E30 with the DASC kit.
hopefully i will finish it next week as i need to fabricate SC support since my engine mounts are M40 and not M42....
did u use the original gas pedal cable or was a new one supplied in the kit? i got my kit w/o new gas pedal cable and im not sure if this is ok or not...

The kit comes with a new throttle cable....it is an OE BMW part from another BMW model however.

The setup is clean. Have you dyno'ed the car to see how much HP you gave gained?

haha not yet...just got it going last night!

I plan to one of these days. I don't really care all that much, but I am a bit curious to see what it really puts down at the wheels.

Actually, no I don't. It didn't come with a tag or any kind of printing on it. All I know is that it is an OE BMW Part.

Give Downing a Call Monday, they will more than likely accommodate you.

UPDATE!

Been driving for almost 2.5 weeks now...

DASC is awesome. Feels just like the good old M42, but with power :D

Had two small issues the first week:
1) return coolant hose was too close to the fan and got a tiny chunk taken out [FIXED, backed hose off of thermostat housing]
2) small fuel leaks at the new AFPR [FIXED, tightened hose barbs]

Last weekend, I also make a custom intake heat shield box. Not the prettiest thing in the world, but I think it should definitely help keep some of that heat out, and keep the fresh cool air in.

i know this is an old thread, but do you have some vids or horsepower numbers???

I am seriously interested in a DASC, and i know that they started making them again.

Its either the DASC or an S50 swap, they seem to be about the same price, and nearly the same power...
