Our new homepage is now up and operating.

It will be a bit before it really gets rolling, but rest assured it is happening.

Note you need to go back to m42club.com to see it as there is no long in the forum currently to get out to it.

It needs lots of work, but it is a start.

I came here the other day, and I noticed the new homepage.  Nice job by the way... I like the layout. BUT, I have a qualm with it.  It is nearly impossible (as my brother and I have seen so far) for the average user to get from the main page to the forums.  There is no button for it.  We had to click through way too many menus in order to find it.  It was alot of random clicking, and stuff to find a drop down menu (under new posts I believe is where we found the drop down menu) to get to this area.  The problem is easily solved by just supplying a button on the main page for "forums".  Just trying to help here.  Keep up the good work.

I will take a look.
I have not had any time to mess with it since I put it up.

Can we go back to an amended original format??

I kinda liked it before.  Especially the "Welcome to M42Club.com" welcome page with that sweet Briliantrot iS staring at you!  :D

I do like some of the new features at the top, like vBGarage and link to the Member Map.  But, can we go straight through to the forums?  Maybe we should put up a poll and see which one everyone likes.  I can live with whatever we decide.

The inital intro page is a bit redundant don't you think? After you have seen it one, it becomes pointless.

As for going to another page, we plan on having many articles written for and hosted on this site and we need a system in place to host them. The page will look better once I get some time to mess with it.

Remember, you cannot please everyone no matter what we do though and I can tell you from experience, putting many things to a vote can just create more problem.

Most of the logos dont show up for me. Like, they dont load and the page looks confusing.

I agree with Phirus. I had to click around to get to the forums.

Overall I like it (but I still like to see that nice Briliantrot M42 before entering, it gets me excited.):)

There are no logos on it yet.
Once I get things situated and color coded properly, it will be a lot cleaner.

Think of this as a very crude outline.

Not sure if this has been suggested yet but a link to the general forum on the homepage would be nice. If there is one already there, maybe placing it in the top menu bar would be better. This would be helpful for those that just want to view by forum topic.

Only about the 5th time.

No time and a severely burned out ex-webmaster makes for slow going on getting it finished.

I don't think it was redundant...

I love that image of the Briliantrot iS with euros coming at me...and best thing, it had a simple link to Forums at the bottom.

Simple is GOOD!

What do you say?  I vote we bring back the old welcome page.

Okay, I'm getting myself in trouble with sheepdog now...  Nomex on!

Like I said, we need soem way to add extra pages to the site as we aquire how-tos and guides. The old front page was not conductive to this.

Also, the current one will clean up nicely.

I was guessing they were logos. I just have a bunch of red "X's" by the as if some picture can't load. I am wondering about that.

Here is a pic.

Not trying to be an asshole but those things irritate me.
