Heater valve?
« on: February 07, 2009, 08:30:34 PM »
I just got a 95 318i (I wanted good MPG). The heat doesnt work. The fan blows, my thermostat is opening, and Im assuming the heater core isnt bypassed. I have the temp the the hottest setting and it just blows cold all day long. From surfing other forums I keep hearing about the heater valve. Does this part play any significance?

Im gonna see if the pumps down by the heater valve arent broken. At least thats what an E30 guys told me they can be a problem. But I dont know if the Late model M42 heating system is the same.
