My to do list:
Get the power locks working again
Get a new key cut (mine is too worn down)
Make the AC work, so I don't mind driving it when it's hot out
Put on new shadow line trim (have it, just waiting on some clamps from germany)
New steering rack (e36 m3 2.7 turn, sitting in box, should get installed next week)
Install 4.10 LSD (ordered should go in next week)
New power flex subframe bushings, trailing arm bushings, diff bushing, adjustable camber/toe at rear of car (should be installed next week)
Clean up mess under the intake
Oil leak (profile gasket?)  Not in any rush to fix it.
Pink paint (going to try getting it detailed at a good shop, but maybe next year I'll repaint)
Like to have my wheels re-finished (maybe turn them grey)
Needs a new rear roundel

mine has a salvage title, the evidence of this is seen on right rear and includes:
-misaligned r.rear quarter
-damaged (shock, subframe, ?) causing RR wheel to have negative camber
-above also believed to cause the "doglegging" while driving when seen from behind
-front struts/mounts shot
-pretty much all rubber suspension components shot
-tires junk
-brakes
-fan shroud missing=installed electric cooling fan since clutch fan was bad too

-heater control valve MISSING (???) no idea why po removed it
-paint is shot
-spoiler is missing and trunk lid looks like dammit
-tail lights cracked
-front air dam/bumper shabby
-goofy loud muffler
-dash cracked badly
-driver seat warped/broken (temp repaired seat frame though)
-odo gears gone
-forgot to mention fuel smell on full tank, traced to shabbily replaced fuel pump-fixed o-ring and replaced OE hose clamps and no more trouble

Well, I'm getting another 1991 318is and will be selling my current car.  Did a few more things on my punchlist:

*Recirculation Baffles cracked (connection to pushrod broken - in process of fixing) - Fixed thanks to Desktop Dave!
*One Recirculation motor doesn't work - in process of fixing - Fixed thanks to Desktop Dave!
*Door handle Trim cracked - FIXED
*Dash cracked (currently covered with carpeted cover)
*Timing system needs rebuilt probably at some point in the future
*Pretty sure one of the short fuel hoses under intake is seeping - smell of gas in cabin sometimes.  I know it is NOT lines under back seat as I replaced all those and it looked fresh and clean on top of the tank anyway.  Someone said it might be Charcoal Canister???
*Oil leak(s) of course - These have gotten better with 10w40 synthetic.  I think oil leaks are gone but it drips some power steering fluid.  Leaks are much better than when I received the car
*passenger seat dry/cracking
*back speakers blown (tweeter cone disentegrated - have new ones to install) Fixed thanks to Cheap Amazon Speakers! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details
*stereo only plays radio (CD broken - new media player w/no cd ready to install) - Fixed thanks to Alpine unit
*knob on sunroof crank missing - FIXED - replaced knob
*driver door pocket broken where attaches to arm rest piece - part is here, just have to paint and attach - FIXED - painted with plastic/vinyl/carpet dye stuff from duplicolor - it looks great!
*door cards, arm rest, door pocket need some duplicolor sprayed on them - need to paint when replacing door pocket - FIXED - both door pockets and armrests look really, really great!  and the finish seems pretty durable, which surprised me
*passenger door window felt cracking on outside
*tail light or trunk seal leaking a little - have new seals to put on - FIXED
*A/C aux fan squeals a little - oiled it, it is good now.]*odometer not working (parts on the way) - fixed, just have to put it back in - thanks to garagastic
*back seat has some sun damage at the top - will try and use vinyl repair and duplicolor
*rear deck carpeting faded some
*guage cluster trim couple of cracks from previous owner removing - have part, need to put on - FIXED - put new part on the car
*missing triangle cover where tweeters go driver side - will replace with pieces off "new" car
*brake sensor cable rear passenger - sheath is cracking, it is hanging. need to replace - FIXED - didn't replace, but reattached it to the axle so it isn't hanging down - not worried about it one bit
*washer fluid tee is leaking when try to spray
*power door locks don't work anywhere on car
*door chime not working - FIXED - it is working now!
*e-brake handle cracked
*needs tranny and diff fluid service - just my wanting to be cautious
*needs mess under intake fix, but no vacuum leaks - great idling car!
*needs mustang injectors while doing mess under intake
*Guido - assume
*center driveshaft support - assume
*needs pan bolt check (at next oil change) - checked - no bolts or chain bits in pan.  tightened to spec.
*both front seats lean towards the center (like if you are reaching for your something in your front left pocket and lean towards center) - I'm guessing that little steel part that juts out is broken.  It doesn't affect me as I don't autocross or track the car
*front driver side bumper trim cracked
*would like new side turn signal housings - not really needed based on how expensive they are.  I'll keep an eye out for used.  Can't tell really.
*Some Jackhole superglued a blacked out model emblem on the back. Looks OK until you get close - this person sucks.
*Wanna repaint black rear IS spoiler
*Replaced soft fuel lines and fuel filter

GOOD:
1. Repainted Brilliant Red by PO - pretty good paintjob car looks sharp
2. Body is SOLID - only couple small dings you have to look for
3. No Idle issues at all
4. New Muffler
5. New Roundels

Other than the requisite pink paint and lack of AC, I have a slight oil leak from the timing case, and this week the speedometer started to bounce.  It seems to kick in and work properly around 2,000 RPMs (most of the time), but before that it drops to zero or fluctuates wildly.

Despite the leak, the car doesn't seem to be using oil, and I haven't noticed any new spots on the driveway.  Since the temps have cooled down a bit I'll be driving the car more, so will need to watch the oil level closely.  Will eventually address the issue when timing components are replaced.
