Running hot!
« on: January 14, 2009, 08:07:35 PM »
car is running hot but doesnt overheat, it runs no different than when it wasn't running hot. I've checked several times for leaks on the hoses and on the radiator but no luck. And I only have to add fluid every few days. Could it be a faulty thermastat?

bought one that owner said was only overheated for a few minutes then towed it home, said blown head gasket
I knew I was in for a gamble
head was cracked and warped, common on an overheated 318 I learned
.....tons of money to fix, non cracked heads are hard to find

got my car with a blown head gasket due to the plastic waterneck issue. but head did not crack luckily.  runs great almost 2 years now :-)
