thanks That helps. My fuel pressure gauge tester reads in PSIG. from 0-10. how do I convert that to PSI?
Psi is often used incorrectly instead of psig.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pounds_per_square_inch#cite_note-0Psig stands for 'pounds per square inch gauge'.
You need 0-100 PSIg
Surprised you haven't blown the 0-10psi gauge up, lol
If you not maxxing out the 0-10psi gauge then you obviously have a failed fuel pump.
Also 2 items of curiosity,
1) is the same gauge you said read in bar and where showing 4-5bar which would now equate to 4-5psi? (dead fuel pump)
2) I notice a CA license plate, did you email me today regarding this E30?
If it was you, instead of towing the car to my place, how about I drive over to you and hook up the proper fuel pressure gauge to verify the fuel pressure? (405 and the 5?)
