m40 - m42 swap question
« on: January 02, 2009, 11:56:41 PM »
recently destroyed the bottom end of my m40, rather than paying for the same engine to go back was looking at dropping in an m42.

what parts other parts etc need to be changed for this to happen? gearbox, ecu etc. is this even a viable option.

thanks in advance

I'm not so much looking for power but just wanting something a little bit quicker.

the only thing holding me back from doing the conversion is that im not sure if i will need new trans also...
