Shorted wire making me short tempered!!
« on: December 16, 2008, 03:38:29 PM »
Hey guys I know its been a while since I've posted and its been tough lately. Anyways all my dash lights shorted out and its blowing my 23 fuse I got it down to the Grey wire with Red stripe doing it but I need the Connector location chart to continue to pinpoint where in the dash I need to look. Plus when I hit the high beams they come back on (wierd). Would anyone happen to the chart or locations of c103, and c204?

C103 is either under the dash near the steering wheel or it's the very large connector close to the clutch pedal.  if you want precise wiring info and connector location and any other relevant information, search for the 1989 325i/is/ix wiring diagrams. the 1991 318i/is/ic wiring diagrams are somewhat incomplete and the 89 325 adequatly completes the 91 diagrams

good luck!

I found the problem and it just happened to be a wire that the aftermarket alarm had spliced into that circuit. For some stupid reason they wired it to a side marker on the opposite side of the car.
