determining offset?

i have a set of 17"rims on my 91 is that came off a turbo sabb, bolt pattern works, brakes clear but the wheel seams to far in, thinking of spacers, not sure how to determine offset? any ideas thanks

Look on the back of the wheel.

It'll probably say et40 or just 40 or some two digit number.

wish is was that easy, but assuming it is 40 what is the max spacer i can run?

Depends how much fender work you have done and other factors like tiresize and things.

20mm is a safe bet.
