Stock thermostat temp?

More of a trivia question than anything else.  What did the factory install? 88 C, 92 C, or less than either of those?  I'm running an 88 and not having any problems (I think).  It warms up to just a needle width below the center mark and pretty much stays there.  I'm just curious because I've recently heard others' cars run cooler than that with the factory spec thermostat.  And the books I have don't give me that info.
