Actually there are quite a few Lagunengrün cabrios running around in Sacramento.  Most are 325i's but a couple are the 318i variety.  The rare cars are the 318is in this color.  I've never seen one in person but I believe there are a few in Canada.  A friend just sold his 325iA coupe in this color.

gah... a green vert popped up on ebay a couple months ago, but it was kind of far away, I wasn't sure, timing was bad, wife would have killed me, blah blah blah..... Yours really makes me wish I'd picked it up.

I saw your twin car in Walnut Creek a couple of months ago.  I thought it might be you but I don't think it had the pinstriping.

Thanks to Brad at http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/7567/ticevalleysiggv7.jpg">Shutterflick.com for editing the sig.

Neither spotting was mine.  Even here in Sacramento there are a number of lagunengrün cabrios, most are 325ic's but there's at least one other 318ic that I'm aware of (his car is bone-stock).
