awww still no pictures.

Oh, and about an hour after my last post or so, I did exactly what I needed.  My BMW saved me again.  Happiness was restored!  Yay!  I ended up going to get gas because I needed something to do and when I finished, I was getting ready to leave and I saw a nice e60 drive by, and I wondered if it was an M5, so I drove pretty fast to catch him before my street, and he thought I wanted to race him.  I thought to myself, hey, I wonder how my 18 year old BMW will do against this brand new BMW.  So I raced him, but was not going all out because we were on a main road, and I didn't want to get screwed by the police.  So I drove pretty regularly behind him until we got to the thruway.  Then I gunned it from 5 thousand in second around a corner, and passed him because I had much better handling, but he passed me not too much later, and I kept on it until I got to 130 mph.  He was a decent amount ahead, but we both slowed down, got side by side and went again, and with a degree of obviousness, he beat me.  But by now I had nothing but a big smile on my face and was really amazed at how well my car kept up with his.  He was probably 500 feet ahead of me and we were both going 70, and I shifted into third and gunned it, and passed him and it took him a while to catch up to me, and he passed me as I slowed down to exit.

I flashed my high beams at him, and he flashed his hazards, both thanking each other for the fun, and that was that.  It was fun, but I laster hated myself for doing that because my oil level was too low, but I didn't know.  So if anyone is wondering, a stock 318is will not lose by that much in a race against an e60 535i.  I was sad no longer.

Oh, and did they break up yet?  :)

HELLOOOOOOOO EVERYONE!!!!!! I have been grounded for SOOOO long and I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!  BTW: Yes they did break up.

I love the story on the street racing.  I love dicing with other people who know how to have fun and drive!!!! It does not happen around here anymore but I love being next to a person who does not suspect it and downshift to second or third and just go for it.  The sound off the back of the car reverberating off another car or the dividers on the highway into mine is such a sick sound.  Just the raspyness alone brings a smile to my face.

I have a confession to make though....

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO POST PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!  I  have tried different ways here but I can not do it....  Do I have to open an account through a picture website or what.  Someone help me out with this and I will let you have all of the pics of my car.

BTW: My street racing days are over.  I promised Courtney I wouldn't do it because it endangers me and other people.  My record is 47-1.... I lost to a testarosa....

LOL

Hey!!! Just loaded some pics to my album... Just click on where it says Birdman16 ans look at the bottom right.  There are pics of the car when I first got it, and before the accident when it looked PERFECT!!!!  I'm going to load some pics from my phone now and I'm having some trouble, but I'll figure it out...

hmmm I don't see any "after the accident" photos.  Oh and loving this, I just slid into a parked car today.  What the F#$%.  I had so much traction when I drove from work to subway for lunch, then when I went to go park, I went to park normally without extra caution, and I turned the wheel and everything was fine, but then I turned it more and I just went straight.  There was no chance of me making it if I turned the wheel the other way in hopes of traction that way, I was too close.  I hit the brakes and felt the ABS massage my right foot.  My brakes didn't do shit.  I slid right into his '96 Jetta, and hit him and watched his car slide a bit.  I felt my heart drop.  I put it in reverse and parked and then rushed out to check the damage.  I contacted him right around my passenger side turn signal, and trashed both of my exterior bumper trim pieces.  The black trim piece exploded on impact, though only losing a small bit above the turn signal, and around the towing loop hole.  The body colored trim piece cracked and a chunk came off, about the length of the turn signal.  His piece of crap Jetta was fine though, minus maybe some scuff marks.  I knew him anyway, and he wasn't mad at all, but I was mad at myself for being so careless.  Just as I was getting ready to upgrade something in my car, I go and do this.

So in order to fix my baby, I will need parts #1 and #18, and I am unsure about #19 and #20.  http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=AF93&mospid=47305&btnr=51_0644&hg=51&fg=15  Over three hundred dollars of damage!?  I am so screwed.  The likelyhood of finding a later year e30 with a perfect bumper in a junkyard is rather low.  I bet a gun may be cheaper...

I have damage on my car like that too. I hit a dog though. This happend years ago, its hard to find un-damaged bumpers in the junkyard.

I believe it....I spent an hour and a half calling every single junkyard in and around my county.  Most didn't have BMWs whatsoever, and those that did didn't have e30s.  There were a few that did though.  The retards at the junkyards don't understand the bumper I need is universal on most e30s post 1987.  They don't actually need to know it is a 1991 318is, and I love how they ask if it is a coupe, sedan, or convertable.  It was EXCLUSIVELY made as a coupe, and what does that matter anyway?  I need a bumper, not a new soft top or rear doors.

The white chunk you see missing from the bumper cover cracked off, and sat awkwardly in it's appropriate position after the crash, and I removed it at the scene and placed it inside my car for fear it would fly off while driving.  The black portion of the trim piece exploded, leaving small bits everywhere.  As for fixing it, I have a $75 deposit down on a $135 bumper cover in black primer, and have done nothing to this point in terms of replacing the black trim piece.

In other news, my dad scratched my car as well when he borrowed it.  He needed it because his car was on jacks, and he needed something to work on his brakes.  Take a look:

The white stuff on the lip is road salt, just fyi.  He claims he didn't notice the jack under his car when he pulled in the garage.
