So I've seen cutting an M50 turbo manifold to fit, but all the ebay manifolds are more expensive than an OBX one for an m42.So the question is how hard would it be to adapt a stock manifold for a turbo, or would it not work at all?
You know, funny thing is I just found the thread where he did that after I posted this thread lol.I feel dumb. But thats so awesome that that will work. How's the quality on the 99 dollar units?Good enough for 7 psi?
you should buy a honda civic
I don't have any experience with them. However, one issue is that these manifolds are made of stainless steel which is prone to cracking (esp. the welded areas) under prolong heat cycle.I strongly recommend you to reinforce the welded areas to reduce chances of cracking.
Thanks for the bump
It wasn't a bump, buy a honda civic, $500 gets you a turbo kit all day long on ebay
I plan to boost my m42.. I don't know about you, but my stock m42 has more balls than any stock civic I've found.. Take the $500 turbo kit and adapt it to your bmw.... wanna dis on people's ideas and projects? go to r3v....
