M3 Gearbox

Im not sure if this is in the write catagory but i guess it a swap?:confused::confused::confused:
Anyway I was talking to a mate and he said he just put all m3 gearing in his   e36 323i. I'm not to familiar with gearboxes and gearing but I was wondering if it would be worth installing a setup like this in my e36 318is? If anyone could shead some light on gearboxes that would help me out aswell.

Yes, it definitely worth if you are going to get more power for the M42 motor (either thru FI or rebuilt).

I am not sure about the gear ratios for the M3 tranny but go for the 6 speed ones. It will be more fun driving on the road. Btw, I think you have to change the drive shaft as well.
