Well I finally signed up here, so I thought I would show you guys my car.

I've been on R3V since I bought it last December, and have been meaning register here, but for some reason this forum wouldn't let me register with the username I use everywhere else. So, almost a year later, I've finally gotten around to thinking up a different username and registering (how's that for procrastination?)

Anyways, here's my E30 318is.

First, some old shots from before a lip and a drop:

Lip'd & Drop'd:

Current modifications include COP conversion, Bilstein Sports & H&R Sports, E36 steering rack, Euro Ellips & HIDs, and other miscellaneous things such as the Volvo lip and various other interior, exterior, & cosmetic items.

Hopefully coming soon will be cleaning up the mess under the intake and an electric fan.

Even though I took so long to register here, I have found this place very helpful and I'm sure it will be even better now that I'm registered, as I'll probably come here more often and contribute too.

Reading through these forums when I was looking to buy and E30 was actually one of the things that swayed me towards an M42 powered car, so it feels good to finally show it here.

I stuck the tii in my username because the E30 318is is sort of like a modern 2002tii in some ways. My plans are to keep my car normally aspirated for the foreseeable future.

I don't remember what car the lip came from, in fact I didn't even look at the back of the car I pulled off of. I'm sure the resident Volvo expert here would know though :)

Yep, the mountains are nice. Low enough to not get snow, and some nice roads.

Car update: put in M30 motor mounts this weekend, drives much better, except now I really need to look into the mess under the intake because the bad idle I've got is much more noticeable now.

Nice car! You've done a lot of the things I'd like to do someday when I have money :p.

Whereabouts in SoCal are you?

I am running the IE poly engine mounts and shortly after i installed them my new vacuum lines vibrated unplugged. I'd make sure they are all tightly connected.

I ended up using electrical tape around every point a hose meets another.
