Does anyone make an aftermarket fuel rail for the M42? I am having a bit of trouble trying to install a RRFPR in place of the onigional FPR. Thanks.

....maybe anyone can tell me what RRFPR and FPR means? I guess FPR is a Fuel Pressure Regulator, but I'm not sure. :confused:

RRFPR (Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator) I had one installed on my carand works just fine.

You can install a RRFPR after your stock FPR provided you want higher fuel pressure than the stock FPR provides (as is often the case).

You can remove the stock fuel pressure regulator an then there's two O rings ,if you remove the smallest one, the fuel it;s gonna by pass the fuel pressure regulator and you'll be able to set your own pressure with your rrfpr.In case you want a smaller base pressure.

Check this out. This Swedish 318IS has a PPF fuel rail (Made by Nuke). I have ordered some Porsche 944 Turbo fuel rails from Nuke. Very good quality.

btw, this M42 pumps 615hp....

There are a lot of intresting E30's in that Swedish PPF forum. Unfortunately you must register into it to be able to read that forum, so some basic knowledge of Swedish lanquage is needed.

I took out my stock fpr and welded a round plate on the fuel rail where the clamp goes, and then welded an 1/8th npt bung in it so I could mount a gauge to the rail. then I left the stock feed line on the rail and had the outlet on the rail go to the inlet of the fpr then the return line form the fpr went to the stock hard pipe. I have some pictures somewhere and ill post them as soon as I find them.

We have not found the need for an aftermarket fuel rail. It's not running higher than standard pressure, but we did upgraded the injectors (significantly) to deal with the increased fuel requirements.
